Michelle HowardGeri Byrne11I have had Border Collies since 1984. Together with my late husband, Chuck (who trialed his Border Collies in the 70’s), we used our Border Collies for both sheep & cattle work on our ranch in Yerington, Nevada, and later on our ranch in Alturas, California. I began trialing in 2000.
I served 2 terms each with USBCHA and ABCA Board of Directors. I am dedicated to preserving and protecting our unique breed, to help keep the qualities that make our working Border Collies so special. It was an honor for me to serve on the Board of Directors in the past, and I remain deeply committed to doing the best job I can, if elected again. It is extremely important to me to give back to this sport which has meant so much to my family & myself and has given so much to us over the years.

Terry MurrayBarb Biller22I have been working stock dogs for more than 20 years and competing in USBCHA-sanctioned trials for nearly that long. I previously represented D2 about ten years ago and am eager to take another turn helping to guide the organization as it moves forward in these exciting times. Having helped stage four National Sheepdog Finals, I am well versed in the roles and requirements for those complex events. But I have also put on countless smaller, local trials, so I understand the range of challenges we face as hosts, helpers, and competitors. If elected, I will bring energy, enthusiasm, and a focus on positive collaboration to the position.
Fiona RobertsonTracy Hinton99I stepped to the post with my first dog way back in the late 1990s and was instantly hooked. Currently I am trialing my Open dog Bean and my Nursery dog Kale ('m not a vegetarian but I do love veggies!). Mostly we trial in the Northeast and Ontario but occasionally we venture further south. I have been a member of USBCHA since around 2007 and now that I have recently retired from my day job, I would like to get more involved in the organization.
Scott GlenBill Crawford1010Scott Glen is a native of Southern Alberta who grew up on a cattle ranch in the Porcupine Hills. He developed an interest in sheep and discovered Border Collies, which led him to compete with them globally. Scott has competed in various events across North America and has represented Canada twice at the World Championships in Ireland and the Netherlands.
Scott and his Border Collies have won several prestigious trials in North America, including the Kentucky Bluegrass, the Meeker Championship in Colorado, and the Soldier Hollow Championship in Midway, Utah. Additionally, Scott has won the Canadian Championships three times and the Western Canadian Championships eight times. With his homebred dog Pleat, he became the first Canadian to win the USBCHA National Championships, which he has now won five times—twice with Don and twice with Alice. Scott has also earned the Best Shed Trophy from the Nationals seven times. This trophy is awarded to the handler with the best international shed during the double lift
Matthew PulferMaci McGrawAt Large50Matt Pulfer grew up watching his grandfather, Ralph Pulfer, work and train Border Collies. After moving to Texas and retiring from the Marine Corps, Matt decided to take up this enjoyable sport. In 2015, Matt purchased his first Border Collie, Mac, and Jess in 2017. Using skills he remembers from his grandfather and his own experience Matt has developed into a great open handler. Matt works as the General Manager for Siddons Martin Emergency Group. On a daily basis 6he is working through complex situations and problems in a rapidly challenging environment. He understands the importance of service and has served on countless boards and organizational committees, including the Texas Sheep Dog Association.
Bridget StrangCarol ClawsonAt Large50Bridget got involved in sheepdog trialing by volunteering to help at the Meeker Classic over 20 years ago. That led to sheep, dogs and hosting the USBCHA Finals five times at the family ranch (Strang Ranch) in Carbondale, Colorado. Bridget has continued to give back to the sport and the advancement of border collies generally, having served two terms on the ABCA Board of Directors, hosting an annual trial as well as several other trials at the ranch (in addition to the Finals) and helping other trial hosts wherever she goes with whatever needs to be done: set out, judging, pen work . . . Bridget will bring her experience and dedication to the USBCHA as an at-large Board member.
