Chris Timmons

Began his career with working dogs at the age of 14, competing in his first cattledog trial. By age 20, he became and ASCA judge and went on to judge trials across the United States for the next 20 years. In 1984, Chris founded Wind Walker Kennels, where he trained bird dogs and stockdogs for the public. While training bird dogs, he also trialed in Shoot to Retrieve and the Texas Shooting Dog Horseback Association. He has trained dogs continuously since that time and has achieved success at both state and national levels in numerous organizations, including ASCA, NCA, MSSA, the Southwest Cattledog Association, Rodear America and most recently TSDA and USBCHA.
Chris is a graduate of Texas Tech University with a degree in Animal Science. He is currently ranching a portion of land that has been in his family since the 1930’s, continuing a multi-generational tradition Centered on livestock, working dogs and practical stockmanship. Chris has been married to his wife, Christine, for 41 years. They have two grown daughters and two grandchildren.
