Types of Membership
There are three categories of membership in the USBCHA: Life, General or Associate.
You must be a current paid member in one of those categories before you go to the post to receive qualifying points from that trial. Membership dates are determined by postmark of check, date of PayPal payment, or verification by a director or officer of USBCHA that payment was made in person before going to the post.
General and Associate memberships are renewed annually and run from January 1 thru December 31. All annual memberships expire December 31 regardless of when the membership was paid for that year. Annual dues are $25.00.
General Members
General Members are those who have run a dog in an Open or Nursery class in any trial sanctioned by the USBCHA within the past two years. General Members have the right to vote in elections and are eligible to qualify for the National Finals and Nursery Finals.
Life Members
Life Members are those who are eligible for General Membership and have paid a one-time fee of $250.00. Life Members have the right to vote in elections as long as they meet the qualifications for General membership. They are eligible to qualify for the National Finals and Nursery Finals
Associate Members
Associate Members are those who, though not meeting the eligibility requirements for General Membership, are interested in being members of the Association and receiving its information. Associate Members have no voting rights. They are eligible to qualify for the National Finals and Nursery Finals and will automatically be changed to general membership when they earn qualifying points or after informing secretary that they have met requirements for general membership.
