Russell McCord: Russell McCord currently resides in Zephyr, Texas with his wife, Andi and their Border Collies and their herd of sheep. Russell has been trialing and training border collies since 1988 and has ran at and qualified for the Double Lift Finals at most of the major trials in the United States, including Meeker, Bluegrass and the USBCHA National Finals. Russell and his dog, Sally qualified for the 2023 USA World Team. Russell has served as USBCHA President and USBCHA Vice President. He is currently representing District 4 on the USBCHA Board of Directors and is seeking reelection to USBCHA Board. In the 1990s Russell served on the USBCHA and Texas Sheepdog Association (TSDA) Boards and has also assisted in the preparations and administration of many USBCHA National Finals, most recently the 2022 USBCHA National Sheepdog Finals in Minden, Nevada. Paul Batz: Paul got his start with sheep and dogs on a family farm in the finger lakes region of NY. Today he maintains a trial flock at his farm, Ox Creek in Canandaigua NY. With a flock of several hundred head he hosts trials, breeds border collies, trains dogs, and teaches lessons. Paul is also an active member of NEBCA on the open trial committee. Going forward he excited to expand opportunities to bring in new energy and trial enthusiasts to the sport. Nominated by Mich Ferraro

Viki Kidd: I am a long time sheepdog border Collie lover/owner/breeder – nearly 30 years. I breed, raise, sell, compete with dogs of my own breeding & those purchased into my kennel. I have been involved in sheep dog trials since 1996 and a member of the USBCHA since 1999. During that time I have attended trials across Canada, many of the eastern, mid-west and southern US states, qualifying for the USBCHA Finals nearly every year. I have had the privilege of judging trials in all of those areas including many Double Lifts. I served two terms as Board member of the Canadian Border Collie Association during the early 2000’s, as well as more than a dozen years as an executive member (in various roles) on our local association – the Ontario Border Collie Club. I have participated in hosting trials (large, small and Championship events) in every possible capacity: hosting, as a secretary & course director volunteering, the pens, set-out etc. Trialling, judging and hosting events Trialling and judging in many areas of both countries has afforded me a broadened insight of many points of view and experience to bring to a director position. Peter Gonnet: Peter was raised on a farm in Alberta Canada where he grew up with border collies. Peter and his wife, Pam, recently retired from managing a large grazing. He got his first border collie 40 years ago to help him with his work every day as well as for trialing. He has won the Canadian Championship, reserve CBCA champpion, Western Canadian driving, WCC Nursery champion and SSDA open Champion. He has judged the USBCHA Sheep dog finals, North Carolina state championships, Ettrick Kennels plus many more. Nominated by Alanna Leach for 3 year term.
DISTRICT 10 Two Year Term
Scott Glen: Scott Glen is a Southern Alberta native that grew upon a cattle ranch in the Porcupine Hills. When his interests turned to sheep, he also discovered Border Collies, and that has led him to compete with them all over the world. In addition to competitions all over North America, he has also represented Canada twice at the World Championships in Ireland and the Netherlands. Scott and his collies have won some of the most prestigious trials in North America, including the Kentucky Bluegrass, theMeeker Championship in Colorado, and the Soldier Hollow Championship in Midway, Utah. Scott has also won the Canadian Championships three times and the Western Canadian Championships 8 times. With his home bred dog Pleat, he was the first Canadian to win the USBCHA National Championships, which he has now won 5 times twice with Don and twice with Alice. He has also brought home the Best Shed Trophy from the Nationals an unprecedented 7 times.
