Leeton, Missouri will be the location for the 2013 USBCHA National Cattledog Finals
May 2nd-5th, 2013
Missouri is one of the largest cattle producing states in the United States. With that being said, Johnson County, where Leeton is located, is the largest cattle producing county in the State of Missouri.
The hosting site for this event is located at the home of Thad, Kelly, Whitney and Wyatt Fleming. The Fleming's have hosted many dog trials at their farm over the last serveral years with as many as 330 dogs running in one weekend with two field running at the same time. These events have been very successful due to many volunteers and handlers support.
Co-Chairing the event will be the Leeton FFA. The parents and children of the FFA organization are excited about this event coming to Leeton, MO and are committed to help make the USBCHA National Cattledog Finals a success.
The United States Border Collie Handler's Association, Inc. (USBCHA) is the sanctioning body for sheep and cattle dog trials trials throughout the United States and Canada. It was founded in 1979 and has grown into an organization of more than 800 members. Members who qualify at sanctioned Open trials during the year are eligible to compete in the USBCHA National Sheep and Cattle Dog Finals to determine the champion Open dog and handler for that year. The USBCHA had our first National Cattledog Finals in 2001.
