Oreo belongs to Preston and Amy Carter of Weatherford, Texas. She is by Kate and Toby belonging to Reuben Parton also of Weatherford. Preston sent Oreo to me for training in November of 2007. I could tell early on that she had some good qualities about her, especially her outrun. In the spring of '08 I ran her in the Sundowner Cattledog Futurity and she came in 5th of about 20 dogs. In November of '08 she won the average at the Texas Cattledog Finals and won the Non-Open class at the Sundowner Crossfire Challenge. She has also placed in a few sheepdog trials. Oreo will finish the '09 season with me making a run at the Dog of the Year award in the Pro-Novice class of the Texas Cattledog Association. Jimmy Walker |

We got Tip from Rudy Starke when he was 10 months old. We feel very fortunate to have gotten such a great dog. Rudy does a great job starting pups. Tip’s sire and dam are Rudy’s Rooster and Petite, which both go back to Pete Carmichael’s line of dogs.
On our ranch in western
Tip is quick and keen, he rates his stock well and displays plenty of power. He has become very useful to use with the ability to make big outruns or work in the corrals, but his finest quality has to be that he is very biddable and always eager to please. He shows power and strength with livestock, but yet is gentle and trustworthy with our 2-year-old grandson. Tim Gifford |
